Website Services Terms

1. The service

Elite Web Services ("we") designs, hosts and maintains a website for your business ("you"). The service includes design and launch of your site, secure hosting with an SSL certificate, one domain name (see section 4), routine updates, and small content changes you request.

2. Pricing & billing

Your launch payment is $499 one time, which covers design & launch plus your first month of the website plan. After that the plan is $49 per month, billed automatically to your card on file through Stripe on the same date each month. You'll get a reminder before each renewal. Prices for an active plan won't change without 30 days' written notice.

3. Cancellation

There is no long-term contract. Cancel anytime from your billing link or by emailing us; your plan stays active through the end of the month you've paid for, and no further charges are made. The one-time launch fee is non-refundable once your site is live. If you're not happy with the design before launch, tell us and we'll revise it.

4. Your domain

Your plan includes registration of one standard domain name (up to $20/year). We register and manage it on your behalf while your plan is active. After 12 months of paid service, or if you cancel after that, we'll transfer the domain to you at your request at no charge. Premium domains over $20/year can be added at cost.

5. Changes & updates

Small updates — text, photos, hours, services, prices, contact details — are included, typically completed within 2 business days. Larger requests such as new pages, redesigns, online stores or booking systems are quoted separately before any work starts.

6. Your content

You confirm you have the right to use any logos, photos, text and other material you provide or that we use from your public business listings, and you're responsible for the accuracy of your business information. We may remove content that's unlawful or infringes others' rights.

7. Ownership

You own your business name, logo, and the content you supply. The website design and code are licensed to you for as long as your plan is active. If you'd like to take the site elsewhere, we'll provide a copy of your site files after 12 months of paid service, or for a one-time $499 buyout before then.

8. Late or failed payments

If a payment fails we'll notify you and retry. If the balance remains unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may temporarily take the site offline until the account is current. Sites unpaid for 60 days may be removed.

9. Uptime & liability

We use reputable infrastructure and aim for your site to be available at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We aren't liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 3 months.

10. Portfolio

We may show your website in our portfolio and marketing. Just tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email. Continuing your plan after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Virginia.
